Rubbing Sound Near Front Tire
When Turning

MODELS:

1996 (LH) Intrepid

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Rubbing sound coming from front tire/wheel well area when turning (parking lot maneuvers). May be one side or both.

DIAGNOSIS:

Verify source of sound by road testing vehicle. Inspect rear of front splash shield for evidence of tire contact. Splash shield may be dislodged. If there is evidence of contact or shield is dislodged, perform Repair Procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This bulletin involves trimming the front splash shield.

1. Turn effected wheel assembly(s) to access lower splash shield.





2. Using appropriate knife, tin snips or saw, trim front splash shield as indicated in drawing.

3. If splash was dislodged, reinstall.

POLICY: Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
