Trunk / Liftgate Latch: Service and Repair

Trunk Latch:

TRUNK LATCH REMOVAL
1. Release trunk latch and open trunk.
2. Mark outline of latch on inside of trunk lid to aid installation.
3. Remove bolts holding latch to trunk lid.
4. Disengage wire connectors from trunk latch.
5. Disengage clip holding trunk lock rod to latch.
6. Separate lock rod from latch.
7. Separate latch from vehicle.

INSTALLATION
1. Insert trunk lock rod into clip on latch.
2. Engage clip to hold trunk lock rod to latch.
3. Engage wire connectors onto trunk latch.
4. Place trunk latch in position and start bolts.
5. Align latch to outline marks on inside of trunk lid.
6. Tighten bolts to hold latch to trunk lid.
7. Verify trunk latch operation.
