Water Drains Into Trunk When Raising Deck Lid
MODELS:
1993 - 1995 (LH) Intrepid
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Water accumulates between the inner and outer deck lid sheetmetal panels. As deck lid is raised, water drains out of inner panel access holes into trunk interior.
DIAGNOSIS:
If there are any signs of water accumulation between the inner and outer deck lid panels, perform the repair procedure.
PARTS REQUIRED:
2 4040858 Overlay
AR 4318025 Mopar Silicone Rubber Adhesive Sealant
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves sealing deck lid bumper holes and inner panel access holes, and removing drain hole plugs.
1. With deck lid in the raised position, remove and discard both lower drain plugs as indicated.
2. Add Mopar Silicone Rubber Adhesive Sealant, P/N 4310025, over slots of both deck lid bumper holes.
3. Place overlay, P/N 4040858, over the two outermost access holes in the deck lid inner panel as indicated.
