EGR Temperature Sensor Inspection

1. Remove the EGR Temperature Sensor.

2. Place the EGR temperature sensor in water, and measure the resistance between the sensor terminals while heating the water.

Acceptable Resistance Range

At 122° F (50° C) 60,000 - 83,000 Ohms
At 212° F (100° C) 11,000 - 14,000 Ohms

3. Replace sensor if resistance is not within specifications.
4. Install sensor, torque to 8 ft-lbs (11 Nm), and connect electrical connector.
