Poor Fuel Economy

Symptom: Fuel economy, as measured by an actual road test, is noticeably lower than expected. Also, economy is noticeably lower than it was on this car at one time, as previously shown by an actual road test.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
Ignition System
- Ignition system faults.

Fuel Systems
- Fuel Pressure.
- Clogged air cleaner.

Engine Mechanical
- Engine thermostat faulty (always open) or wrong heat range.
- Vacuum hose splits, kinks and proper connections as shown on vacuum hose routing diagram information label.
- Engine Mechanical Problems.

Other
- Driver's habits.
- A/C "ON" full time
- Tire pressure
- Speedometer calibration.
