Component Tests and General Diagnostics

1. Remove lower cover on lift gate, then disconnect electrical connector from wiper motor.
2. Place ignition switch in On position, then inspect blue wire for battery voltage.
3. Place ignition switch and wiper switch in On position, then inspect blue and brown wires for battery voltage.
4. If no voltage is present in steps 2 or 3; inspect fuse, wiper switch and wiring.
5. Replace motor if battery voltage is present in steps 2 or 3.
6. Place ignition switch in On position and wiper switch in Off position, then inspect blue and brown wires for battery voltage.
7. If no voltage is present in step 6, then inspect ground wire to wiper switch.
