Oil level should be checked every six months. To check oil level, start engine and let idle with transaxle in park or neutral for at least one minute. Oil level, when properly filled, will read near the Add mark when oil is cold, (70°F), and in the Hot zone when oil is at normal operating temperature (180°F). Add as necessary.
