Band: Adjustments

KICKDOWN BAND

Fig. 4 Kickdown Band Adjustment:





1. Loosen locknut and back off nut approximately five turns, Fig.3.
2. Ensure adjusting screw turns freely in transaxle case.
3. Using wrench tool No. C-3880-A and adapter tool No. C-3705, or equivalents, torque band adjusting screw to 47-50 inch lbs. If adapter tool No. C-3705 is not used, torque adjusting screw to 6 Ft. lbs.
4. Back off adjusting screw 2 1/2 turns. Torque locknut to 35 ft. lbs. while preventing adjusting screw from turning.

LOW-REVERSE BAND
1. Loosen locknut and back off nut approximately five turns.
2. Torque adjusting nut to 41 inch lbs.
3. Back off adjusting nut 3 1/2 turns.
4. Torque locknut to 10 ft. lbs.
