Shock Absorber Replacement

REMOVAL
1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Support axle assembly and remove wheel and tire assemblies.
3. Remove both upper and lower shock absorber attaching bolts, then the shock absorbers.
4. Lower axle assembly until spring and spring upper isolator can be removed.


INSTALLATION
1. Position jounce bumper on rail, then install and torque attaching screws to 6 ft-lbs.
2. Install isolator over jounce bumper and install spring.
3. Raise axle and install shock absorbers. Loosely assemble lower shock absorber attaching bolts and tighten upper attaching bolts to specifications.
4. With suspension supporting vehicle, tighten shock absorber lower attaching screws to specifications.
