With DRBII Scan Tool

Chrysler does not provide any trouble code number-driven diagnosis for this system. Testing information is provided for codes retrieved via the Chrysler Diagnostic Read Out Box (DRB) in code description text format only. ALLDATA Users have reported success using the code number with the description by a generic scan tool matching the description to diagnostic information listed.

The diagnostic connector is located under the lefthand side of the instrument panel and is a 6-way connector. A DRB diagnostic scan tool can be linked to this connector to obtain diagnostic trouble codes.

1. Connect DRB scan tool to diagnostic connector, then turn ignition switch to On position.
2. At DRB prompts, select "System: ABS/Bendix," then select "State Display: Inputs/Outputs" and read brake switch status.
3. Depress brake pedal and observe DRB display. If brake switch status displayed does not reflect actual brake pedal position, check brake switch and CAB.
4. Select "Read DTC" and record any diagnostic trouble code messages that appear.
5. Proceed to Diagnostic Test Step 1A for further information regarding specific diagnostic trouble codes. 1A Checking For Diagnostic Trouble Codes
