Inspection

1. Measure the following oil pump clearances:

Oil Pump Endplay Measurement:

a. Endplay, should be 0.0010-0.0035 inch.

Oil Pump Outer Rotor Thickness Measurement:

b. Outer rotor thickness, should be at least 0.9435 inch and diameter should be at least 2.4690 inches. Install outer rotor with chamfered edge in pump body.

Oil Pump Rotor Clearance Inspection:

c. Clearance between rotors, should be no more than 0.008 inch.

Oil Pump Outer Rotor Clearance Inspection:

d. Outer rotor clearance, should be no more than 0.014 inch.

Oil Pump Cover Clearance Inspection:

e. Oil pump cover clearance, should be no more than 0.003 inch.

f. Oil pressure relief valve spring free length should be 1.95 inches.
