Rear Spring Rattle
THIS BULLETIN SUPERSEDES TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN NO. 02-05-94 DATED JUN. 24, 1994 WHICH SHOULD BE MARKED IN YOUR FILES. PARTS AND NEW REPAIR PROCEDURE HAVE BEEN ADDED.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Metallic rattle noise from one or both sides of rear suspension. This noise may be more prevalent as suspension becomes unloaded during cornering or may be heard on a rough road with the vehicle loaded (2-3 passengers).
PARTS REQUIRED:
4 4755007 Sleeve - Coil Spring
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This repair involves installing a sleeve near each end of the rear coil springs.
1. Raise the vehicle on a suitable hoist that will allow the rear suspension to fully extend.
2. Wipe off each spring coil where sleeve will be placed to allow adhesive on the inside of sleeve to stick to coil.
2. Install sleeves, P/N 4755007, on second coil from both top and bottom coil ends as indicated. End of sleeve must extend past end of coil by 1 cm. It may be necessary to use spring compressor to reduce tension.
4. Verify the spring is seated in the upper strut mount.
