DEALER SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS
SAFETY RECALL # 495 -
AIR BAG SYSTEM FRONT IMPACT SENSOR MOUNTING


This service requirement applies only to certain 1991 AA (Dodge Spirit, Plymouth Acclaim and Chrysler LeBaron sedan) and AP (Sundance convertible) vehicles built at Toluca Assembly Plant from September 28, 1990 through October 2, 1990.


An Advanced Recall Information letter in November, 1990 instructed dealers to inspect for and correct any air bag system front impact sensors which were not mounted to the radiator closure panels on the involved vehicles. A listing of the involved vehicles was also provided.


Notification letters are now being mailed to owners of involved vehicles for which the recall service has not yet been completed according to current records. The service instructions are repeated in this dealer notification letter for your reference.
