Throttle Cable/Linkage: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

Accelerator Pedal Assembly:

1. Rotate the throttle lever to wide open throttle to allow enough cable slack to permit removal. Holding the gas pedal up remove the throttle cable retainer and throttle cable from the upper end of the pedal shaft.
2. From the engine compartment pull the throttle cable out through the dash, leaving the dash grommet in place.

Throttle Cable Attachment To Throttle Body:

3. Remove the throttle cable from the throttle lever, then remove cable from throttle bracket.



INSTALLATION

Throttle Cable Attachment To Throttle Body:

1. Install the cable housing into the cable mounting bracket on the engine. Install cable end onto throttle body lever stud. Push cable through dash grommet and connect to accelerator pedal.
