Rear Door: Service and Repair

Rear Door Assembly:

1. Install door latch assembly with optional electric lock motor assembly attached.
2. Secure latch to inner panel.
3. Secure motor to inner panel with two rivets.
4. Install outside handle assembly with handle to latch link attached, clip rod to latch assembly.
5. Install weatherstrip assembly into daylight opening, beginning in forward corner.
6. Position and attach outside belt moulding, starting at forward position.
7. In stall bell crank with lock knob link and attached lock knob and seal with bell crank to latch link. Index bell crank to inner panel and attach. Connect linkage to latch. Clip bell crank to latch rod into anti-rattle clip.
8. Install remote control and remote rod. Connect rod to latch, secure remote to inner door panel. Clip remote rod to anti-rattle clip.
9. Loose assemble fixed glass bracket to door inner panel.
