Idle Speed Motor Position Sensor: Description and Operation

The idle position switch, installed on the fuel injection mixer body, is turned on when the throttle valve is in the closed position. The switch transmits information to the ECU to control fuel delivery time during deceleration, idle speed and secondary air management. In some applications, this switch is also used as an idle speed adjusting device.
