Fig. 25 Fuel pump connector:

The fuel pump is located in the engine compartment and can be energized by connecting a jumper wire across the electrical connector, Fig. 25. When a jumper wire is connected across terminals 1 and 2, the operating sound of the fuel pump should be heard. When no operating sound can be heard, check connector and wiring for defects. If no defects are found, disconnect fuel pump connector at the pump, then energize. If pump fails to operate, replace.
