Windshield Washer Reservoir - Installation

DIESEL ENGINE





1. Position the washer reservoir (3) up into the vehicle through the left front fender (1) wheel housing and engage the post on the bottom of the reservoir in the locator hole in the support bracket at the base of the left front fender support hydroform vertical member.
2. Reconnect the reservoir washer hose to the barbed pump outlet nipple of the washer pump/motor unit (2).
3. Engage the reservoir washer hose into the routing trough integral to the reservoir.
4. Reconnect the Front End Module (FEM) wire harness connector (5) to the washer fluid level switch connector receptacle (4).
5. Reconnect the FEM wire harness connector (6) to the washer pump/motor unit connector receptacle at the top of the motor housing.
6. Reinstall the splash shield into the left front fender wheel housing of the vehicle. Splash Shield - Installation.





7. Push the washer reservoir (4) downward far enough to ensure the mounting post (3) integral to the bottom of the reservoir is fully seated in the locator hole in the support bracket at the base of the left fender support hydroform vertical member (2), just to the left of the cooling module.
8. Install and tighten the two screws (1) that secure the mounting brackets of the washer reservoir filler neck to the hydroform vertical member. Tighten the screws securely.
9. Refill the washer reservoir with the washer fluid drained from the reservoir during the removal procedure.
10. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
