Rear Shock Absorber - Installation

INSTALLATION

NOTE: View is typical of a coil spring system. A leaf spring system is similar.






NOTE: All torques should be made with the full vehicle weight on the ground being supported by the tires.

1. Position the shock absorber (2) in the brackets.
2. Install the bolts (1, 3) through the brackets and the shock (2).
3. Install the nuts on the bolts (1, 3) and do not tighten.
4. Remove the holding fixture supporting the axle.
5. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
6. Tighten shock bolts (1, 3) and nuts to specifications Rear Suspension Specifications.
