Cylinder Head Cover(s) - Inspection

INSPECTION

The cylinder head cover gasket and rocker housing gasket, are reusable. However, should cracks, nicks, or tears be present in the rubber/silicone construction, the defective components should be replaced. Also replace gasket if it is no longer flexible. Inspect cylinder head cover rubber isolated capscrews for cracks, nicks, or tears. Do not reuse gasket if it has been removed from the groove in the rocker housing or cylinder head cover.
