Hydraulic Control unit (HCU) - Installation

INSTALLATION






NOTE: If the ABM module is being replaced with a new ABM module it must be reprogrammed with the use of a scan tool.

1. Install the ABM (2) to the HCU (4) if removed Anti-Lock Brake System Module - Installation.
2. Install the hydraulic control unit into the rubber mounts.
3. Reconnect the brake lines (3) to the hydraulic control unit (4). Do not mix up the brake lines. Tighten the lines to 14 Nm (124 in. lbs.)
4. Reconnect the electrical connector (1) to the ABM module (2).

5. Reconnect the ground cable on the post next to the accelerator pedal.
6. Remove the brake pedal winch.
7. Check the fluid in the reservoir and correct if necessary.
8. Bleed the brake system. Service and Repair.
9. Perform function test using a scan tool.
