1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. With the scan tool, record and erase DTC's
2. Turn the ignition on and wait 30 seconds.
3. Operate the HVAC system.
4. With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test
2. REAR BLOWER CONTROL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO VOLTAGE
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the A/C Heater Control Module harness connector.
3. Disconnect the Rear Blower harness connector.
4. Turn the ignition on.
5. Measure the voltage of the Rear Blower Control circuit.
Is there any voltage present?
Yes
- Repair the Rear Blower Control circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
No
- Go to 3
3. REAR BLOWER CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Measure the resistance of the Rear Blower Control circuit between the A/C Heater Control Module harness connector and the Rear Blower harness connector.
Does the ohm meter read open circuit?
Yes
- Repair the Rear Blower Control circuit for an open.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
No
- Go To 4
4. GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Measure the resistance of the Ground circuit between the A/C Heater Control Module harness connector and the Rear Blower harness connector.
Does the ohm meter read open circuit?
Yes
- Repair the Ground circuit for an open.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test.
No
- Replace the A/C Heater Control Module.
