Removal

1. Raise vehicle on jackstands or centered on a hoist.
2. Remove front wheel and tire assemblies.
3. Reach to the inside of the caliper and pull it outboard as far as you can. This will push the piston back into the bore of the caliper, making removal of caliper easier.

4. Remove caliper guide pin bolts.

5. After removing caliper guide pin bolts, lift the caliper away from the braking disc with a pry bar or screwdriver.

6. Remove caliper from disc and adapter by sliding caliper assembly out and away from braking disc and adapter.

7. Support caliper firmly to prevent weight of caliper from damaging the flexible hose.

8. Remove the outboard shoe assembly from the caliper adapter.

9. Remove the braking disc (rotor) from the hub by pulling it straight off the wheel mounting studs.

10. Remove the inboard shoe assembly by sliding it out along the bottom adapter abutment until brake shoe assembly loosens from anti-rattle clip.

11. Remove the anti-rattle clip from the top adapter abutment.
