2 Wheel Drive
1. Raise hood, then position fan and related components to ensure necessary clearance.2. Raise and support vehicle, position a suitable jack under transmission assembly.
3. Slightly raise transmission and engine assembly, then remove rear mount through bolts.
4. On Ramcharger and Conventional Cab models, proceed as follows:
a. Remove flange nuts from crossmember support bracket.
b. Raise rear of transmission enough to provide access to the insulator flange nuts.
c. Remove insulator nuts, then the insulator. If necessary, remove transmission support bracket to transmission attaching bolts.
5. On Van, Wagons and Front Sections, proceed as follows:
a. Remove U-shaped bracket from frame crossmember.
b. Remove insulator from bottom face of transmission extension housing.
6. On all models, reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. On Van, Wagon and Front Section models, torque insulator to U-shaped bracket attaching nuts to 30 ft. lbs., insulator through bolt to 50 ft. lbs., and bracket to crossmember bolts to 30 ft. lbs.
b. On Ramcharger and Conventional Cabs, torque transmission support bracket to transmission attaching bolts to 50 ft. lbs., insulator through bolt to 50 ft. lbs., and crossmember support bracket to insulator flange nuts to 30 ft. lbs.
