Thermostat: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then drain coolant below level of thermostat.
2. Remove upper radiator clamp, then radiator hose.
3. Remove thermostat housing mounting bolts, thermostat housing, then thermostat.
4. Reverse procedure to install noting the following:
a. Tighten thermostat housing attaching bolts to specifications.
