INSTALLATION

FRONT - SEDAN





1. Connect wire harness connectors to retractor (5 - tensioner squib and seat belt switch).

2. Place retractor and belt assembly into position and install the mounting bolt to B-pillar. Tighten bolt to 52 Nm (38.5 ft. lbs.).

3. Install turning loop and bolt onto height adjuster (1). Tighten bolt to 52 Nm (38.5 ft. lbs.).

4. Feed end of seat belt (2) through B-pillar trim (3) and install B-pillar trim B-Pillar Trim Panel - Installation.





5. Place seat belt webbing anchor (3) into position on the seat cushion frame (4) and install the bolt (2). Tighten to 47 Nm (34.5 ft. lbs.).

6. Install the side shield/cover (1) to the seat belt anchor (3).

7. Do not reconnect the negative cable to the battery at this time. The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Verification Test procedure should be performed following service of any SRS component. Supplemental Restraints Verification Test.

WARNING:
Do not connect the battery negative cable. Serious or fatal injury may result if the system test is not performed first.

FRONT - CONVERTIBLE





1. Install seat belt retractor.

2. Connect electrical connector.

3. Install seat belt retractor mounting fastener (3).

4. Feed seat belt through seat back cover.





5. Install the rear entry handle and route the cable through seat back.

6. Install rear entry cover while feeding the seat belt through cover.

7. Engage rear entry cable (2) and bracket (1).





8. Install lower inner shield (2) and fasteners (1).





9. Engage seat back cover J-clips.

10. Install lower outer shield (2).

11. Install seat belt anchor bolt.

12. Install outboard side shield. .

13. Install recliner handle. .

14. Do not reconnect the negative cable to the battery at this time. The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Verification Test procedure should be performed following service of any SRS component. Supplemental Restraints Verification Test.
