Sentry Key Immobilizer Module (SKREEM) - Installation







INSTALLATION

CHRYSLER





NOTE:
After a SKREEM/WCM is replaced, the ignition/transponder keys need to be programmed to the new SKREEM/WCM. Follow the directions on the diagnostic scan tool. The transponder key for the SKREES/SKIM and the RKE will both be programmed during this operation. There is no need to program the fob of the key for RKE functionality once the transponder key is programmed to the new SKREEM/WCM.

NOTE:
When a PCM and the SKREEM/WCM are replaced at the same time, perform the following steps in order:

NOTE:
The WIN/SKREEM/WCM initialization procedure is required whenever the WIN/SKREEM/WCM or shaft lock module is replaced on vehicles equipped with the shaft lock module. Programming and Relearning.

- Program the new PCM.

- Program the new SKREEM/WCM.

- Program all ignition/transponder keys to the new SKREEM/WCM.

Programming Ignition Keys To The WIN.

1. Position the WCM on the ignition lock housing. Make sure the locking tabs are engaged into the ignition switch then install the retaining screw (1).

2. Position the ignition switch lock cylinder assembly up in behind the instrument panel.





3. Position the ignition switch into the ignition switch bracket ensuring that the lock tab secures the switch to the bracket.





4. Connect the WCM antenna (2) to the WCM module.

5. Install the two ignition switch mounting screws (1) and the one upper screw from the ignition cylinder support bracket.





6. Install the ignition switch support bracket screw (1).

7. Install the shift interlock cable into the ignition switch.





8. Reconnect the ignition switch electrical connector (6) and the WCM electrical connector (5).

9. Install the instrument cluster. Instrument Cluster - Installation.



10. Install the instrument cluster trim bezel. Instrument Cluster Bezel - Installation.

11. Install the steering column shroud and secure with three screws.

12. Install the lower instrument knee blocker. Kneeblocker - Installation.

13. Install the lower steering column opening cover. Steering Column Opening Cover - Installation.

14. Install the radio. Radio - Installation.

15. Install the upper center instrument panel trim bezel. .

16. Connect the battery negative cable.

DODGE





1. Install the WCM retaining screw (1) and flex the retaining tab to secure the WCM to the ignition switch lock cylinder.

2. Route the ignition switch/cylinder assembly through the lower steering column opening.





3. Position the ignition switch and verify the lock tab has secured the switch into position.

4. Connect the WCM antenna to the WCM receiver.





5. Install the two ignition switch mounting screws (1) and install the one upper screw to the ignition cylinder support bracket. Secure the left side of the center instrument panel after the inboard screw is in place.





6. Install the ignition switch support bracket screw (1).

7. Install the shift interlock cable into the ignition switch.





8. Reach up behind the left side of the center stack and connect the ignition switch electrical connector (6) and the WCM electrical connector (5).

9. Install the instrument cluster. Instrument Cluster - Installation.

10. Install the surround bezel. .

11. Install the instrument cluster trim bezel. Instrument Cluster Bezel - Installation.

12. Install the three screws from the lower steering column shroud and secure the upper and lower shroud to the steering column.

13. Install the radio. Radio - Installation.

14. Install the upper center instrument panel trim bezel. .

15. Install the center console trim bezel. Center Console Bezel - Installation.

16. Connect battery negative cable.
