Front Seat Back Handle And Cable - Removal

REMOVAL

Special Tools:











1. Remove the lower outer shield (2).

2. Disengage seat back cover (1) J-clips and pull upward.





3. Remove the lower inner shield fasteners (1) and slide shield (2) down and out of seat back cover.





4. Carefully pull the seat back cover up to gain access to the rear entry release cable and seat side airbag mounting fasteners.

5. Disconnect the rear entry release cable from the release latch (2) and the mounting bracket (1).





6. Push down on the front of the release handle bezel (1).

7. Using trim stick (C-4755) or equivalent, release the two front bezel tabs (1).

8. Carefully lift upward on the front of the rear entry handle cover and rotate rearward to release the rear tab.





9. Using trim stick (C-4755) or equivalent, release the front of the handle assembly (1) and separate the rear of the handle assembly (2) from the mounting bracket.

11. Remove the handle and cable assembly (1) from the seat back assembly (2).
