Crankshaft Main Bearing: Specifications

CRANKSHAFT MAIN BEARING CAP

Install all main bearing caps. Install all M12 cap bolts and alternately tighten in two steps using the following sequence.






Step 1 28 Nm ( 20 ft. lbs.).
Step 2 Turn main cap bolts an additional 90°.

Install the M8 crossbolts with attached washer/gasket. Starting with crossbolt A.
Tighten each crossbolt 31 Nm ( 23 ft. lbs.).
Repeat crossbolt tightening procedure.
