Rear Door Glass - Removal

REMOVAL





1. Raise the rear door glass (1) up to it's full position.
2. Remove the trim panel from the inside of the rear door, Rear Door Trim Panel - Removal.
3. Remove the inner belt weatherstrip from the rear door.
4. Open the latch access cover (3).
5. Remove the cover for the regulator tab access hole. If a clear adhesive patch is not present, there will be an indented area in the same location that will need to be cut out.
6. Temporarily install the window switch pod, reconnect the negative battery cable and lower the window until the white regulator tab is visible in the access hole (2).
7. With the help of an assistant holding the glass, release the window regulator tab and lift the window up and tape the glass (1) to the door header.
8. Remove the door carrier plate, Rear Door Carrier Plate - Removal.
9. Remove the tape securing the glass, lower the sliding glass into the carrier plate cavity.





10. Peel back the door weatherstrip, remove the fastener securing the fixed glass run to the door.





11. Detach and remove the upper trim (1) from the door.
12. Remove the cover (3) for the lower fixed glass fastener access hole.
13. Remove the fastener (2) securing the fixed glass to the door.
14. Lift the fixed glass and glass run on an angle to remove.
15. Remove the sliding glass through the carrier plate cavity.
