Pinion Seal - Installation

INSTALLATION

Special Tools:










1. Using Installer (1)(Figure 1), install new pinion flange seal.










2. Using Installer (1) , lightly tap pinion flange (2)(Figure 2)onto shaft, just enough to start flange nut by hand.





3. Install pinion flange nut and torque to 475 Nm (350 ft. lbs.) (2)(Figure 3).
4. Install propeller shaft and heat shield.Propeller Shaft - Installation
