Shaft Lock Module - Installation





INSTALLATION

NOTE: Before attempting service, the ignition key must be inside the vehicle near or on the center console for the entire length of the procedure.





1. Check and remove any debris found the column lock shaft area (1).
2. Check the rest of the module area (2) for debris that will prevent the column lock module from function properly.
3. Push in the threaded stud on the steering column lock module and install the steering column lock module into the steering column.





4. Install the steering column lock module jumper harness (1).
5. Install the steering column lock module retainer (2).Tighten to 6 Nm (53 in. lbs.).
6. Install the steering column Steering Column - Installation.
7. Connect the negative battery cable/IBS to the battery.

NOTE: If a NEW column lock module has been installed, a new Radio Frequency Hub (RF Hub) must also be installed.
