APPROACH LAMP





Vehicles equipped with the Passive Entry (PE) system have approach lamps (3) located in the outside rear view mirrors (1). This lamp consists of a clear Light Emitting Diode (LED) unit integral to the mirror glass and case (2) that illuminates through the mirror glass whenever the interior courtesy lamps are active, such as when a door is ajar or with the illuminated entry feature. SIGNAL LAMP





Vehicles equipped with the optional signal lamps (2) located in the outside rear view mirrors (1) have three amber Light Emitting Diode (LED) units that illuminate through a clear lens on the lower, forward facing surface of the mirror shell cap. Illumination of these lamps is coordinated with the illumination of the turn signals for the same side of the vehicle. This lamp also serves as the repeater lamp in vehicles manufactured for sale in certain export markets where they are required. This lamp is serviced only as a unit with the outside mirror assembly.
