Front Lamp Unit Bulb - Installation
BULB - HEADLAMP
CAUTION: Always use the correct bulb size and type for replacement. An incorrect bulb size or type may overheat and cause damage to the lamp, the socket or the lamp wiring.
CAUTION: Do not contaminate the bulb glass by touching it with your fingers or by allowing it to contact other oily surfaces. Shortened bulb life will result.
NOTE: Left side shown. Right side similar.
1. Position the headlamp bulb (1) close enough to the back of the front lamp unit housing to access and reconnect the lamp wire harness connector (3) to the bulb connector receptacle.
2. Align the bulb with the keyed opening on the back of the front lamp unit reflector (2).
3. Insert the bulb into the reflector opening until the base is firmly seated.
4. Rotate the base clockwise about 30 degrees to lock it into place.
5. Position the headlamp bulb access cover (1) onto the outboard back of the front lamp unit housing and rotate it clockwise about 30 degrees to lock it into place.
6. For the left hand side only, position the engine air cleaner assembly to the Front End Module (FEM) structural support and reinstall the fastener that secures the air cleaner assembly.
7. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
