HVAC Housing






HOUSING-HVAC

NOTE: The HVAC housing must be removed from the vehicle and disassembled for service of the A/C evaporator.

NOTE: LHD model shown. RHD model similar.





1. Remove the HVAC housing assembly and place it on a workbench HVAC Housing - Removal.
2. Remove the air inlet housing HVAC Housing - Removal.
3. Remove the air distribution housing HVAC Housing - Removal.
4. Remove the blower motor Blower Motor - Removal.
5. Remove the blower motor power module Blower Motor Power Module - Removal.
6. Remove the evaporator temperature sensor Evaporator Temperature Sensor - Removal.
7. Remove the HVAC wiring harness (1).
8. Remove the ten screws (2) that secure the upper half of the HVAC housing (3) to the lower half of the HVAC housing (4) and remove the upper housing.





9. Carefully lift the A/C evaporator (1) and foam seal (2) out of the lower half of the HVAC housing (3).

NOTE: If the foam seal at the front of the HVAC housing is deformed or damaged, the seal must be replaced.

10. If required, remove the A/C expansion valve, tapping block and foam seal from the A/C evaporatorA/C Expansion Valve - Removal.
