Dual Muffler

DUAL MUFFLER





1. Raise the vehicle.

CAUTION: Do not use any tools to remove the rubber isolators-remove by hand only. Soapy water or silicone based lubricant spray may be used to assist removal/installation of isolators. DO NOT use a petroleum based lubricant on the isolators, as damage to the rubber material can occur.

2. Apply penetrating oil to band clamps.
3. Remove the catalytic converter to muffler and resonator clamps (2).










4. Remove the nuts (1) from the front and rear tunnel reinforcement brackets (2).






NOTE: The right side resonator is part of the muffler assembly and must be replaced with the mufflers if need replacing.

5. 5.7L Engines - If equipped, remove LH resonator and tailpipe assembly (4)Exhaust Resonator - Removal.
6. Remove the isolators (1).
7. Remove the muffler and tailpipe assembly (2) by twisting/turning while pulling assembly out of catalytic converters.
