Single Muffler/Resonator

SINGLE MUFFLER/RESONATOR






NOTE: On single exhaust systems, the muffler, resonator and tailpipe (4) are one single unit.

1. Apply penetrating oil to band clamp nut and bolt (4).
2. Remove ground straps.
3. Support the exhaust system with a stand.
4. Remove the muffler/resonator assembly from the catalytic converter down pipes at the clamps (4).

CAUTION: Do not use any tools to remove the rubber isolators-remove by hand only. Soapy water or silicone based lubricant spray may be used to assist removal/installation of isolators. DO NOT use a petroleum based lubricant on the isolators, as damage to the rubber material can occur.

5. Remove the isolators (2).
6. Remove the muffler/resonator assembly.
