Decklid Switch

DECK LID





1. Align the deck lid release switch with the clearance hole in the back of the Center High Mounted Stop Lamp (CHMSL) unit housing (1).
2. Insert the switch straight into the clearance hole through the back of the CHMSL housing until the switch mounting flange (2) is firmly seated against the CHMSL housing.
3. Rotate the switch clockwise about 30 degrees to lock it into place.
4. Engage the deck lid release switch connector (3) and pigtail wire harness with the retention features on the back of the CHMSL housing.
5. Reinstall the CHMSL unit into the deck lid. Center Mounted Brake Lamp - Installation.
6. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
