Fuel Door Switch - Operation

OPERATION

The fuel door release switch is a normally open, momentary switch that is connected to fused battery feed at all times. When the switch button is depressed, it provides a battery feed signal to the fuel door release actuator solenoid on the fuel filler housing through a fuel door control circuit.

The hard wired circuit between the fuel door release switch and the fuel door release actuator solenoid may be diagnosed using conventional diagnostic tools and procedures. Refer to the appropriate wiring information.
