Heated Seats - Description






DESCRIPTION





Vehicles with the optional heated seat system can be visually identified by the two heated seat switches (3 and 4) located in the U-Connect Touch(TM) screen module (1), in the center of the instrument panel. The heated seat system allows a heated seat occupant to select from two different levels of electrical seat heating (HI and LO).

The heated seat system includes the following major components:

- Heated Seat Switches - Up to four heated seat switches are used per vehicle, one for each front heated seat and one for each rear heated seat, when equipped. Both front switches are integral to the U-Connect Touch(TM) screen module and communicate over the Controller Area Network (CAN) data bus Front. - Heated Seat Module - One Heated Seat Module (HSM) is used per vehicle. The HSM is mounted under the front passenger seat and contains the control logic and software for the heated seat system. The HSM communicates over the CAN data bus Heated Seat Module - Description.
- Heated Seat Elements - Up to eight heated seat elements are used per vehicle. Two heated seat elements for each heated seat, one on the seat back cushion and the other on the seat bottom cushion. The heated seat elements are hard-wired to the HSM Heater Pad - Description.
