Outside Rearview Mirror Glass - Installation

INSTALLATION

GLASS





1. Install the glass case (3) to motor by pushing the glass case "hooks" into place.
2. If equipped, connect the blind spot indicator and heater wires (1).
3. Connect the mirror motor glass electrical connector (2).

CAUTION: Make sure wires are not caught between the glass case and the motor.

4. Push the glass case (3) on until the glass case snaps are fully seated on motor.

NOTE: An audible snap is normal.

5. Repeat steps for the opposite side.
6. Connect the negative battery cable.

MIRROR CAP





NOTE: If the mirror cap retaining tabs are broken, install a piece of double sided adhesive tape to the affected area.

NOTE: In the event that the mirror cap retainer tabs were broken during a previous disassembly, a piece of double sided adhesive tape would have been added between the mirror cap and shell to improve retention. If the tape is present it will need to be removed and replaced with a new piece before reassembly.

1. Review the snap locations (2, 3 & 4) on the kit supplied chrome mirror cap (1).





2. Review the snap locations (1 & 2) on the mirror assembly (3).





3. Begin installation by aligning the snaps on the mirror cap (1) with the snap locations on the mirror assembly (2).
4. Verify that all snaps are in the correct position.
5. Apply gentle pressure on the mirror cap (1) until all snaps are fully seated into the mirror assembly (2).
