Steering Column Opening Cover - Installation

INSTALLATION





1. Connect the light switch harnesses (1, 2 & 3) to the switch located on the knee blocker trim.






NOTE: Steering wheel removed for clarity.

2. Connect the in-car temperature sensor.
3. Install the upper portion of the knee blocker trim (2) by pushing on the knee blocker trim (2) to engage the upper snap retainers.
4. Install the two side screws (3) and the lower screw (1) securing the knee blocker trim (2) to the instrument panel. Tighten the screws to 30 in-lbs.





5. Install the hood release handle (2) to the knee blocker trim by aligning and pushing up.





6. Install the end cap (1) to the instrument panel and engage the snap retainers that secure the end cap. Repeat on opposite side.
7. Connect the negative battery cable.

NOTE: For vehicles equipped with the optional Automatic Express Up power window feature, recalibration of this feature is required whenever power to the door module is disrupted.
