Floor Console - Removal






REMOVAL

Special Tools:










1. Apply the parking brake.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the On position, apply the service brakes and place the gear selector lever into the Neutral position.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the Off position and release the service brakes.

NOTE: For vehicles equipped with the optional Automatic Express Up power window feature, calibration of this feature is required whenever power to the door module is disrupted.A battery reconnect procedure must be performed anytime the battery has been disconnected.

4. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
5. Using a thin wire type tool, locate and press the release while pulling up on the shifter knob (3).
6. Remove the shifter knob (3), Gearshift Knob - Removal , Transmission Shifter - Removal.
7. Using or equivalent, gently pry between the shifter bezel (1) and the floor console to release the snap retainers that secure the bezel. Do not pull with excessive force or fully remove at this time.
8. Disconnect the shifter bezel wiring harness and remove the shifter bezel (1).





9. Remove the two screws (3) securing the storage bin (1) to the front console.
10. Using or equivalent, gently pry between the storage bin (1) and the floor console side close out panel to release the two snap retainers that secure the storage bin (1) to the front console and close out panel.
11. Disconnect the 12V power outlet wiring harness from the rear of the storage bin (1).
12. Disconnect the LED/Lamp wiring harness (2) from the rear of the storage bin (1) and remove the storage bin from the I/P.





13. Using or equivalent, gently pry between the instrument panel and the floor console side close out panel (1) to release the two snap retainers that secure the close out panel to the instrument panel.
14. Using or equivalent, gently pry between the floor console side close out panel (1) and the floor console to release the five snap retainers that secure the close out panel to the floor console.

NOTE: Repeat steps 14-15 for the opposite side.






15. If equipped, disconnect USB jumper harness (2).
16. Remove the connector (1) from the floor console tab by disengaging the retaining tab on the connector and sliding forward.





17. Disconnect the console storage bin's power outlet harness (1).





18. Open the lid (3) of the console rear bin (4) and remove the coin holder bin (2).
19. Remove the mat bin (1) from the console rear bin (4).





20. Remove the four screws (2) from the rear bin that secure the floor console (3) to the floor panel transmission tunnel.
21. Remove the four screws (1) that secure the front of the console (3) to the instrument panel.
22. Slide the floor console (3) rearward and tilt up. If equipped, disconnect the rear heated seat connector.
23. Remove the floor console from the vehicle.
