Floor Console - Installation

INSTALLATION





1. Position the floor console (3) into the vehicle rearward far enough to access and if equipped, reconnect the rear heated seat connector.
2. While holding both sides of the console (3) at the front carefully engage the ears at the front of the console to the slots at the lower instrument panel.
3. Locate the two alignment holes at the front of the console (3) over the two alignment pins on the instrument panel.
4. Engage the locating pin on the underside of the console rear bin into the slot in the top of the floor panel transmission tunnel.
5. Install and tighten the four screws (1) that secure the front of the console (3) to the instrument panel. Tighten the screws to 2 Nm (18 in. lbs.).
6. Install and tighten the four screws (2) into the rear bin that secure the console (3) to the floor panel transmission tunnel. Tighten the screws to 4 Nm (35 in. lbs.).





7. Open the lid (3) of the console rear bin (4) and install the mat bin (1) into the console rear bin (4).
8. Install the coin holder bin (2).





9. Connect the console storage bin's power outlet harness (1).





10. If equipped, install the connector (1) to the floor console tab by engaging the retaining tab on the connector to the fastener and sliding rearward.
11. If equipped, connect the USB jumper harness (2).





12. Align the floor console side close out panel (1) to the floor console and use hand pressure to engage the five snap retainers that secure the close out panel to the floor console.
13. Align the floor console side close out panel (1) to the floor console and use hand pressure to engage the two snap retainers that secure the close out panel to the instrument panel.

NOTE: Repeat steps 12-13 for the opposite side.






14. Connect the LED/Lamp wiring harness (2) to the rear of the storage bin (1).
15. Connect the 12V power outlet wiring harness to the rear of the storage bin (1).
16. Align the storage bin (1) to the front floor console and the side close out panel to engage the two snap retainers and alignment pins that secure the storage bin (1) to the floor console.
17. Install the two screws (3) securing the storage bin (1) to the front console. Tighten the screws to 2 Nm (18 in. lbs.).





18. Connect the shifter bezel wiring harness and position the console shifter bezel (1) over the gear selector lever.
19. Position the tabs on the underside of the console shifter bezel (1) into the holes in the floor console. Use hand pressure to engage the retaining tabs.
20. Install and tighten the two screws (1) that secure the front of the console shifter bezel to the console. Tighten the screws to 3 Nm (23 in. lbs.).
21. Position the mat (5) into the console rear bin with the curved edge oriented forward in the vehicle.
22. Install the shifter knob (3), Gearshift Knob - Installation Transmission Shifter - Installation.

NOTE: For vehicles equipped with the optional Automatic Express Up power window feature, calibration of this feature is required whenever power to the door module is disrupted.A battery reconnect procedure must be performed anytime the battery has been disconnected.

23. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
