Decklid Spring - Installation

INSTALLATION





1. Using the reference marks made in the removal steps, install the spring (1) into the front bracket.
2. Using the vise grips (2) and the reference marks made in the removal steps, pull rearward and outward towards the vehicle side to engage the spring (1) into the rear bracket.
3. Remove the vise grips (2) from the spring.
4. Remove the tape wrap from the spring (1).
5. Install the gas prop, Gas Prop - Installation





NOTE: RH shown, LH typical.

6. Position the wheel well cover trim into the trunk/cargo area.
7. Connect the trunk lamp (4) harness connector.
8. Install the cargo net lower hooks (5).
9. Install the push-in retainer (3) that secures the wheel well cover trim.
10. Install the cargo net hook screw (1) and upper cargo hook (2).





11. Position the rear seat bolster (2), push rearward to engage the retaining clip between the rear shelf and the bolster.
12. Install the push-in fasteners (3) that secure the trunk side trim. Repeat for the opposite side.
13. Install the RH rear seat back side bolster bracket bolt (4). Repeat for the opposite side.
14. If necessary, repeat for the opposite side.
15. Remove the decklid support prop/block.
16. Connect the negative battery cable.
17. Install the spare tire cover/trunk floor carpet over the spare tire well and close the decklid.
