P1915-TRANSMISSION INHIBITED REMOTE START

Theory of Operation
This DTC is informational. The remote start system will be disabled if the TCM is unable to properly diagnosis the electrical park system or the TCM has a failure mode in which the possibility of the park system becoming disengaged exists.
- When Monitored:
When the ignition switch is turned to the run position.
No failure in CAN monitoring.
Battery voltage is greater than a calibrated threshold.
No shifter reset requested.
- Set Condition:
The TCM is unable to properly diagnosis the electrical park system.
The TCM has a failure mode in which the possibility of the park system becoming disengaged exists.

CHECK FOR OTHER TCM DTCS
1. With the scan tool, read TCM DTCs.
View Repair
- Testing and Inspection Perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure.
- Perform the TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Verification Tests.
