P060A-INTERNAL CONTROL MODULE MONITORING PROCESSOR PERFORMANCE
For a complete wiring diagram Refer to the Wiring Information.
Theory of Operation
The purpose of the diagnostic is to monitor the displayed gear position signal in the cluster which is determined using two separate calculations within the Transmission Control Module (TCM). The comparison between the results of the two calculations is evaluated before the displayed gear position is sent to the cluster on the CAN BUS.
- When Monitored:
Continuously with the ignition on.
- Set Condition:
The failure is detected if the result of the comparison of the two gear position calculations are not equal.
Always perform the Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting procedure before proceeding. 8HP45 Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting Procedure
