B23AA-00-IMPLAUSIBLE DATA RECEIVED FROM RAIN SENSOR

Theory of Operation

The Body Control Module (BCM) is the Local Interconnect Network (LIN) master for the Light Rain Sensing Module (LRSM). The BCM monitors the information transmitted by the LRSM for correct format and validity.

- When Monitored:
With the ignition on.

- Set Condition:
The Body Control Module requests information from the Light Rain Sensing Module (LRSM) and receives signal not available as a reply from the LRSM.





REPLACE THE LIGHT RAIN SENSING MODULE IF THE DTC IS ACTIVE
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, erase the DTCs.
3. Cycle the ignition from on to off three times.
4. Turn the ignition on and wait 30 seconds.
5. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.

Does the scan tool display DTC: B23AA-00-IMPLAUSIBLE DATA RECEIVED FROM RAIN SENSOR as active?

Yes

- Replace the Light Rain Sensor Module. Light Rain Sensor Module (LRSM) - Removal.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

No

- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals, and correct pin tension.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
