B2254-00-COLUMN LOCK MODULE INTERNAL

- When Monitored:
Whenever the ignition is turned on or off.
- Set Condition:
If the Radio Frequency Hub (RF HUB) does not receive the correct response message back from the Steering Column Lock Module (ELV/ESCL).
Diagnostic Test
1. INTERMITTENT DTC
1. Using the scan tool, record and erase the RF Hub DTCs.
2. Turn the ignition off.
3. Arm the Vehicle Theft and Security System (VTSS) and wait one minute.
4. Disarm the VTSS by using the FOBIK.
5. Turn the ignition on.
6. Wait one minute.
7. Using the scan tool, read the active RF Hub Module DTCs.
Does the scan tool display; B2254-COLUMN LOCK MODULE INTERNAL?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and poor pin fit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
2. PERSONALIZE STEERING COLUMN LOCK MODULE
1. With the scan tool, erase the DTCs in the RF Hub Module.
2. With the scan tool, perform the Steering Wheel Lock Module (ELV) "Replaced routine".
3. Turn the Ignition off, wait 15 seconds then turn the ignition back on.
4. Press the ignition switch on and off several times then leave the Key-In Ignition Node (KIN) in the run position.
5. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.
Does the scan tool display: B2254-COLUMN LOCK MODULE INTERNAL?
Yes
- Replace the Steering Column Lock Module. The Radio Frequency Hub (RF Hub) must also be replaced along with the Steering Column Lock Module (ELV). When replacing the RF Hub and the Steering Column Lock Module (ELV), the RF Hub MUST be programmed BEFORE the Steering Column Lock Module (ELV) is programmed..
- Replace and program the Radio Frequency Hub (RF Hub). .
- Replace and program the Steering Column Lock Module (ELV). .
- Perform the RADIO FREQUENCY HUB (RF HUB) VERIFICATION TEST. .
No
- Test complete.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
