Theory of Operation

The Body Control Module (BCM) will attempt to reset certain faulty outputs during each ignition cycle. If after a significant number of ignition cycles the output is still not functioning, the BCM will disable the output forever.

- When Monitored:
Continuously.

- Set Condition:
The BCM detects a concern with one or more of the output driver circuits.





CHECK FOR OTHER ACTIVE DTCS

NOTE: When this DTC is set, the module must be replaced. Diagnose and repair all DTCs prior to module replacement.

1. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Are any other active DTCs present?

Yes

- Perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure for each DTC. Repair all DTCs. Replace the BCM. Body Control Module - Removal.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

No

- Replace the BCM. Body Control Module - Removal.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
